IMG_3992 - Linking Up with Adopt-A-Child Projects!

Thrilled to have given a cheque to Adopt-A-Child today!

It makes all the hours of designing, packing, making worth while.

We have agreed to donate monthly for a year to three projects and to give a cheque today to start it off. The cheque will give what they need to purchase a four by four car to help with the amazing work they do in supporting children in Albania, getting the Christian message of Love, Care and Support for the whole person to the many children out there. Our monthly contributions will go to three different projects we chose 1. to Guatamala to help with an agricultural project (they feed 100 000 children a week there) perhaps towards a greenhouse or agricultural equipment or buy a coo!! ( we love coo’s here at Pop UPs!) 2. to help with medical aid for children in Albania, the cost of medical support is beyond most families out there. 3. Adopt-A-Child is looking into us contributing towards glasses and eye care for the Children in Albania. Thank you again to Janis for coming all the way over here again to receive the cheque, show us videos and give us information about the charity. All very exciting for the future! We have now got to raise more money for these great causes. Check out http://aac.adopt-a-child.com/

if you want to find out more. Massive Big Thank you to all those who have supported our business start up, brought and given our cards , to all the shops that stock us and those who have made this possible. Our only regret is that we cannot give more.

Colour Trials for 2019 Card Range

Posted on

Pop Up design team are working on several design projects ready for 2019, one of them is trialling larger A4 cards in 4mm Poplar we are provisionally calling “Frame Cards” but giving folk the chance to add their own message.  This message stands on it’s own but can be clipped to the front of the new “Frame Pop Ups”.  After trialling several colours on some of the popular tourist range using a stencil technique we made the decision to use a limited palet of Black and a Green named “Willow”!  This seems to give the natural poplar a good contrast and can cover over some of the flash marks (generated on the back when the laser hits one of our support frames in the laser cutting jigs).

Three designs are already available for trial on our website ( before being shown to shops across the country) and we will see what response we shall have. A4-Poppies-frames-2-9 - Colour Trials for 2019 Card Range A4-Wagtail-wren-frames-2-8 - Colour Trials for 2019 Card Range Forest-Frame-A4-3 - Colour Trials for 2019 Card Range Which one would you most like to receive?

Really pleased to have been ask to design some Pop Up cards for this great project in the deep south.  Zebcat is a system of insulating houses and making them far more energy efficient by adding extra features from roof panels, to low cost heating etc.  They asked us to design an A5 card in 4mm for their promotional use.  Here are some photos they have done of the card in use. We are happy to help their cause and hope the cards will be a great product that catches folk’s attention.

We are really pleased at Pop Ups to be providing Glasgow Life and Glasgow Museums with many pop up cards! One of our most successful ranges is the Charles Rennie Mackintosh cards and products.  This range (with help and guidance from Kelvingrove Museum) has grown from just 3 chairs and a table last year, to 15 products this year.  Kelvingrove has become one our biggest accounts this year as they plan to take their exhibition on tour later in the year and our pop up displays will be going with them, including bespoke full size tables we made for them.  Available in our shop and theirs are best selling Ladder back, Argyle, Ingram Chairs with Tea Room tables,  Hill house Hall chair, Butterfly Chair, China Chair and table (as on display in the museum full size).  We have designed a range of larger products too including display boxes and Mackintosh’s famous domino clock.
